Seve learned to play golf on the beaches at home and used mainly an iron tree he received from one of his older brothers. In 1976 he got his breakthrough with a second place in The Open Championship. Later he won five majors, of which his win in The Masters was the first European win at Augusta National Golf Club. Ballesteros also won 43 wins on the European Tour and Seve was a cruel match player. He won the World Matchplay Championship five times and was in the Ryder Cup eight times and won as captain of Valderrama in 1997. Seve came to love the Ryder Cup most of all. In a total of 37 matches, he won 22.5 points. Of a total of 15 matches with the pair horse José Maria Olazab won the duo eleven. Seve Ballesteros created sports stories, stories and images that opened up the eyes of newly-saved golfers across a whole world. Name the golfer who didn’t try to mimic Seve?
